Job Overview
Calex Group is seeking an experienced Turnaround and Shutdown Engineer to join our growing team in Jubail. The successful candidate will have solid expertise in plant shutdown activities, safety compliance, and coordination with vendors and contractors.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute mechanical activities during shutdowns.
- Perform and oversee:
- Chemical cleaning
- De-cruding / De-scaling
- Nitrogen purging
- Pigging of pipelines
- Leak testing
- Pipeline drying
- Heat exchanger cleaning & maintenance
- Lead field teams ensuring safety and compliance.
- Develop detailed job plans, shutdown schedules, and post-shutdown reports.
- Ensure HSE standards are followed throughout the process.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for smooth operations.
Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
✅ 3–5 years’ proven experience in turnaround/shutdown engineering
✅ Strong background in heat exchangers, pipeline maintenance, and safety processes
✅ Ability to work on-site and manage high-pressure timelines
✅ Knowledge of industry-standard HSE practices
