🔎 Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced Offshore HSE Officer to join our marine operations team. This position is fleet-based, overseeing the health, safety, and environmental compliance across tugboats and support vessels operating offshore in the Middle East. Strong knowledge of offshore HSE, marine safety systems, and international maritime codes is essential.
✅ Responsibilities:
● Conduct HSE inspections and audits aligned with ISM, ISPS, and MLC 2006 standards
● Ensure full compliance with HSE protocols and onboard safety procedures
● Manage Permit to Work (PTW) systems and monitor crew adherence
● Maintain updated HSE records including incidents and near-misses
● Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and monthly HSE training
● Coordinate emergency drills: fire, abandon ship, man overboard, etc.
● Inspect and ensure operational readiness of LSA and FFE
● Support during internal/external audits and inspections
● Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions
● Encourage proactive safety culture and onboard awareness
● If experienced, contribute to SPM (Single Point Mooring) safety operations
🎯 Requirements:
● NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification (mandatory)
● Minimum 4 years of offshore HSE experience (marine sector)
● Knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC 2006 regulations
● Experience with barge safety, LSA/FFE inspections
● Familiarity with SPM operations (advantageous)
● Good command of English – both written and verbal
● Proficient in MS Office and HSE tracking software
● Valid offshore safety and medical certificates (e.g., BOSIET/FOET) preferred
